MonsterVerze Competition & Runway
Hauntlywood Fashion Arena: dress the theme, walk, vote, cash XP.
Competition Mode is MonsterVerze’s structured fashion fight. PlayGirldom parked the Fashion Arena in Hauntlywood: five players, a theme, about six minutes to dress, a runway walk, then three votes per player. Placement pays Ghoulars and XP. This page is the how-to for joining, dressing under a clock, voting without throwing, and converting wins into ranks that unlock VIM rewards. Travel details live on Locations & Trains; wardrobe prep lives on Shop & Items and Customization.
Unlock and travel
Finish Skella’s tutorial so the open-world HUD exists (Getting Started). Ride trains from the Graveyard station toward Hauntlywood. Look for Fashion Arena join prompts in the district—BETA UI can rename the button, but the loop is always join lobby → theme → Dress Up → runway → vote.
If Hauntlywood is missing from your board, you may still be gated, or the district may be down for a patch. Check Updates before assuming the mode vanished.
Round structure
- Lobby (5 players). Wait for a full room. Partial rooms can stall in BETA; requeue if the timer never starts.
- Theme reveal. Read it twice. “Goth prom,” “beach ghost,” and “school spirit” need different silhouettes. Keep a mental closet from Outfit Planner.
- Dress window (~6 minutes). Open iGhost → Dress Up. Commit by minute four so you can walk to marks. Panic-buying in Shop mid-round usually loses time (Shop & Items).
- Runway. Walk, pause, let the camera see wings, tails, and Halos. Use walk mode from Controls so you do not sprint through the pose.
- Vote (3 votes). You typically cannot dump all votes on yourself. Spread votes on looks that actually hit the theme, then hope the lobby is honest.
- Payout. First through last receive scaled Ghoulars and XP. Community snapshots in 2026 list roughly 1st: 5,000 Ghoulars + 50 XP, 2nd: 3,500 + 35 XP, 3rd: 2,000 + 25 XP, 4th and below: 1,000 + 15 XP. The 2x Ghoulars game pass does not double Arena payouts. Treat those numbers as a check-in-game table—PlayGirldom can retune them in BETA.
How to win more than coin flips
- Hit the theme harder than the drip. A perfect Halo with the wrong vibe loses to a cheap on-theme dress.
- Read from far away. Judges vote on silhouettes. One strong color story beats five tiny accessories.
- Use monster parts. Fangs, wings, and tails are the game’s identity—see Customization.
- Do not AFK the dress timer. Empty avatars get last place and waste five other players’ time.
- Save a “safe” outfit in Dress Up for when the theme is vague.
Halos from Halo of Vampiria help screenshots; they do not auto-win if you ignore the prompt.
XP, levels, and why runway matters
XP from Arena feeds the level / rank bar on the HUD. Higher ranks matter if you bought Very Important Monster because Gem shops and Halo unlocks sit on that ladder (Halos, VIM & Gems). Even without VIM, Ghoulars from placements fund the catalog so the next round looks better. Mix Arena sessions with Quests & NPCs so you are not only grinding votes.
Etiquette and common failures
Vote the theme, not only friends. Leaving mid-runway can strand the lobby. If Dress Up will not open, close other iGhost apps, or rejoin and requeue. Mobile players should lock orientation and keep the joystick clear of the vote UI (Controls).
Never use scripts to auto-vote or auto-dress. That is an account risk described on Scripts, not a shortcut to first place.
Practice plan
- Build two complete looks at the station before you queue.
- Ride to Hauntlywood once without competing so you know the door.
- Play three rounds focusing on theme, not rank.
- After payouts, buy one missing piece—not a whole new closet.
- Recheck reward numbers after Patch Notes.
Fashion Arena is the loudest loop in MonsterVerze besides Dress Up. Treat it as a timed exam for everything in the Guides Hub, then spend the winnings where Shopping Priority says they belong.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, fashion, and BETA systems.
How does MonsterVerze Competition Mode work?
Join the Hauntlywood Fashion Arena with five players, dress the theme in about six minutes, walk the runway, cast three votes, and collect Ghoulars plus XP by placement.
What are Fashion Arena rewards?
Community tables in 2026 list about 5k Ghoulars and 50 XP for first, 3.5k and 35 XP for second, down to 1k and 15 XP for fourth and below. Confirm in-game; 2x Ghoulars does not double Arena pay.
Where is the Fashion Arena?
Hauntlywood. Travel by train from the Graveyard station after the tutorial. See Locations & Trains if the district is missing.
Do I need VIM to compete?
No. Anyone who reached the open world can queue. VIM only changes how XP converts into Gem shops and Halos.
